Project Description
The new Ivan Franko Homes Long-Term Care Facility in Mississauga is a 160-bed residence designed to provide culturally appropriate care for the Ukrainian Canadian community. Fast-tracked with support from Ontario’s enhanced construction funding, the home includes 75 new and 85 upgraded beds, featuring resident-focused “home areas” and a specialized 32-bed unit for individuals with cognitive impairments. Scheduled to open in winter 2025, the facility will be part of a Campus of Care offering integrated services for seniors.
Our Scope
- Site demolition and stripping of existing site grounds, tree removals and decommissioning existing pond.
- Supply and install all Erosion Sediment Control measures.
- Demolition and abatement of existing 2-storey house, garage and gazebo.
- Excavation and backfill of the retirement residence building.
- Cut/fill and site grading of new hardscape and softscape site features
- Installation of all new sewer and watermain services, including two stormwater management tanks and oil-grit separator structures.
- Topsoil placement and final grading.
