Project Description
Rehabilitation and replacement work is underway on 107 sanitary manholes across the Region of Peel. The activities include structural restoration, infiltration mitigation, coating and lining applications, component upgrades, and full manhole replacements where required. These improvements enhance the condition and performance of the existing sanitary sewer system and support continued reliable operation throughout the region.
Scope
- Replacement of aging access rungs with FRP ladder and safety platforms
- Hydrophobic and/or hydrophilic grouting of manhole joints and cracks to eliminate water infiltration
- Grouting and epoxy application of interior chimney
- Complete crystalline and cementitious coating installation of entire manhole
- Reprofiling of benching
- Removal and replacement of frame and covers
- Complete removal and replacement of manhole with implemented sewer bypass
