Project Description
The Orchard Villa redevelopment and expansion involves constructing a new 15‑storey, 275,126‑square‑foot long‑term care facility on the existing site in Pickering. The work focuses on transforming the property into a fully serviced site capable of supporting the new multi‑storey building, associated infrastructure, parking areas, landscaped spaces, and underground stormwater systems. This includes preparing the grounds, establishing required site conditions, coordinating the civil servicing layout, and supporting the overall development footprint in accordance with the provincially approved, privately led initiative undertaken by Southbridge Health Care LP under the direction of Ontario’s Ministry of Long‑Term Care.
Scope
- Site demolition and stripping of existing site grounds, asphalt parking striping, tree removals and clearing all existing vegetation
- Supply and install all ESC measures and tree-protection fencing.
- Detailed footing excavation and backfilling of new long term care building.
- Earthworks rough grading of the site for all new paved and landscape areas.
- Installation of all storm, sanitary, and watermain lines and structures, including street connections to existing mainline sewers.
- Supply and install underground stormwater management system tank, including Oil Grit Separator (OGS) structure
