Project Description

The York Region East Roads Operations Centre is a dynamic project currently underway, poised to enhance the operational capabilities of the region. Spanning an impressive 83,282 square feet, the facility encompasses a new office and garage building, a dedicated salt building, and a fire pump building.

Scope

  • Site demolition and stripping of existing site grounds, tree removals and clearing all existing vegetation
  • Supply and install all ESC measures including double-row silt fence, temporary swales, rock check dams, etc.
  • Earthworks rough grading of the site for all new paved and landscape areas.
  • Detailed excavation and backfilling of office and garage building, and new salt dome facility.
  • Construction of 2 stormwater management ponds – including supply and install of synthetic clay liner, rip-rap spillways, gravel access roads with geo-web, cable concrete, and turf reinforcement.
  • Installation of all storm, sanitary, and watermain lines and structures, including two OGS storm structures, stormwater infiltration gallery and stormwater box culvert.
  • Design and construct two sanitary septic systems for greywater and wastewater,
  • Topsoil placement and final grading.
